On graduation from Unilag, Daddy joined Mobil Oil Nigeria Ltd as an Engineer/Operations Trainee, rising to the post of Staff Safety Coordinator in Mobil Producing Eket before he resigned in December 1978. He spent 11 years with Mobil. Thereafter he joined Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He spent 24 years with NNPC in management cadre rising to the post of General Manager Environment and Safety Department, Engineering Division in the Corporate Headquarters Abuja before he retired in December 2002. After retiring from NNPC be became the Managing Director of SOHEF Nigeria Limited (SNC) a private company involved in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Protection and Fire Protection Consultancy and Training. Daddy was a Member of the following Professional Bodies 1. American Society of Safety Engineers (MASSE) 2. Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) 3. American Society of Petroleum Engineers (MASPE) 4. International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (MIIRSM) London Daddy was a fellow of The Nigerian Institute of Safety Professional (MASPE) He attended several overseas courses on firefighting, oil spill prevention, health safety and environmental practices. He was also a speaker and trainer in the above areas.
