Daddy was born on 27th December 1942 in Sagamu Ogun State, Nigeria. He attended Kings College Lagos and graduated with the Higher School Certificate (HSE) in 1961-1962. Thereafter he proceded to University of Nsukka from 1963-1966 to study Mechanical Engineering. However due to the Nigerian civil war he graduated from University of Lagos with B.Sc.Hons (2nd Class Division) in 1966-1967.
